13Federico & Newton's Morning Walk
Federico, up early today,
takes a quick look at morning sky asks
Newton what the four stars must be, planets? he says
for what else could pierce pre-sunrise sky
a plane old star could not stop our morning
walk alone
& so he stops his monologue-like question,
hears Newton take a deep breath, knows the moral
death of science may preclude this visual
plucking of planets from the firmament some day.
A view of Venus & Jupiter to lower left he says, mellow flamenco
guitar in the background, while Saturn & Mercury are nearest the
crescent moon.
