Change of place, change of weather
the rain it pours and pours
as we drive up northwards
home into centre down lanes ever smaller
and darker, further and further
from what we know
The new explored, we find it
part what we expected, part
much more than imagined: all
the little doors and windows
secret spaces and hiding places
circular tours and cubby holes
someone else's taste in things
and colours, decoration and furniture
a delight in doorways so short
you have to bend your head to enter
or walls so thick it's like in a castle
fireplaces to sit in they're so big
etc., etc..
The move a sign of development
on the itinerary's line of time
and a chance for change within change
a rinse of mind like rainfall
that dowses the greenery fresh and shiny
